President George W. Bush is not a lame duck

As the Congress leaves Washington for their summer recess, let us look upon the accomplishments of this session so far.

The Congress passes and the President signed these pieces of legislation:
1. Energy Policy Act
2. Lawsuits Reform Bill
3. Transportation Equity Act.
4. Firearms Protection Act
5. Central America Free Trade Act
6. Transportation Bill (?)
7. Medical (mistakes voluntarily reported) Bill (sorry, but the Chicago Tribune doesn't believe in supplying bill names or numbers, apparently!)
8. John Bolton is recess appointed to the UN
9. Janice Rogers Brown was moved up the Appeals Court, along with Owens.
10. Reauthorization of the Patriot Act.
11. Bancruptcy Reform Bill

That is but a few of the areas where the President George W. Bush has been successful. He is also doing quite well in foreign policy. For the most part. However, he is having much disheartened voters feeling betrayed due to illegal aliens and CAFTA. Only time will tell if he will actually introduce and get passed a guest worker program.

If he does, it is feared both parties are no longer in Congress for the safety of the citizens of these United States of America. When this has happened in the past, there has been a party that disappeared and a party which split. Let us hope if it is going to happen, it happens sooner rather than later.

Either way, this has been an exciting period in history. Lame duck? No. Even with all the disc0ntent from the party loyals, they would much rather see this World War IV won. Truth be told, it appears the Democrats have the ability or stomach to fight, let alone win, a war.
