Obame Union Poll

Growing up without cell phones

I received this email from a friend, author unknown. It was hilarious and I wanted to share it with you.  If you are 36, or older, you might think this is hilarious!

When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking five miles to school every morning.... Uphill... Barefoot... BOTH ways...yadda, yadda, yadda

And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on my kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it!

But now that I'm over the ripe old age of forty, I can't help but look around and notice the youth of today. You've got it so easy! I mean, compared to my childhood, you live in a damn Utopia! And I hate to say it, but you kids today, you don't know how good you've got it!

1) I mean, when I was a kid we didn't have the Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the damn library and look it up ourselves, in the card catalog!!

2) There was no email!! We had to actually write somebody a letter - with a pen! Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the mailbox, and it would take like a week to get there! Stamps were 10 cents!

3) Child Protective Services didn't care if our parents beat us. As a matter of fact, the parents of all my friends also had permission to kick our @ss! Nowhere was safe!

4) There were no MP3's or Napsters or iTunes! If you wanted to steal music, you had to hitchhike to the record store and shoplift it yourself!

5) Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio, and the DJ would usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up! There were no CD players! We had tape decks in our car. We'd play our favorite tape and "eject" it when finished, and then the tape would come undone rendering it useless. Cause, hey, that's how we rolled, Baby! Dig?

6) We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you were on the phone and somebody else called, they got a busy signal, that's it!

7) There weren't any freakin' cell phones either. If you left the house, you just didn't make a damn call or receive one. You actually had to be out of touch with your "friends". OH MY GOSH !!! Think of the horror... not being in touch with someone 24/7!!! And then there's TEXTING. Yeah, right. Please! You kids have no idea how annoying you are.

8) And we didn't have fancy Caller ID either! When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was! It could be your school, your parents, your boss, your bookie, your drug dealer, the collection agent... you just didn't know!!! You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister!

9) We didn't have any fancy PlayStation or Xbox video games with high-resolution 3-D graphics! We had the Atari 2600! With games like 'Space Invaders' and 'Asteroids'. Your screen guy was a little square! You actually had to use your imagination!!! And there were no multiple levels or screens, it was just one screen.. Forever! And you could never win. The game just kept getting harder and harder and faster and faster until you died! Just like LIFE!

10) You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on! You were screwed when it came to channel surfing! You had to get off your ass and walk over to the TV to change the channel!!! NO REMOTES!!! Oh, no, what's the world coming to?!?!

11) There was no Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons on Saturday Morning. Do you hear what I'm saying? We had to wait ALL WEEK for cartoons, you spoiled little rat-bastards!

12) And we didn't have microwaves. If we wanted to heat something up, we had to use the stove! Imagine that!

13) And our parents told us to stay outside and play... all day long. Oh, no, no electronics to soothe and comfort. And if you came back inside... you were doing chores!

And car seats - oh, please! Mom threw you in the back seat and you hung on. If you were lucky, you got the "safety arm" across the chest at the last moment if she had to stop suddenly, and if your head hit the dashboard, well that was your fault for calling "shot gun" in the first place!

See! That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids today have got it too easy. You're spoiled rotten! You guys wouldn't have lasted five minutes back in 1970 or any time before!

The Over 40 Crowd

Have Unions outlived their usefulness

We have come a long way since John Steinbeck's days of Cannery row... America has changed and I am wondering if the usefulness of UNIONS have come to pass. Guy Cecil, DSCC, wrote that he has been watching what’s going on in Wisconsin, and it’s just one more example of how extreme Republicans have gotten. Guy accuses the repubics of trying to balance the national budget on the backs of those who can least afford it. Guy also observed that the repubics are launching an attack on teachers, prison guards and other public employees – the very workers who educate children and keep America safe. And, the repubics are trying to strip away most collective bargaining rights and increasing the cost of UNION health care.

On the other hand, Conservatives dispute all that DSCC and the progressives say indicating that UNIONS are breaking the backs of state budgets and hold the people of the country hostage while protecting their own benefits...

I am wondering?

Free Compean and Ramos, Mr. President

Courtesy of World Net Daily:  Mr. President! Free Ramos and Compean
Thousands signing petition to pardon Border Patrol agents

WASHINGTON – In just the first 72 hours, more than 15,000 people have signed a petition to free imprisoned Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, a campaign that was launched by WND Editor Joseph Farah.

"I am calling on President Bush to do the right thing before he leaves office Jan. 20," said Farah. "These are the pardons or sentence commutations the American people want to see more than any other. We don't want to see any more drug dealers freed. We don't want to see any other millionaires get pardons. We don't want to see any other well-connected crooks have their sentences overturned. We want to see Ramos and Compean out and their reputations restored."

Ramos and Compean are serving sentences of 11 and 12 years respectively for the shooting of an illegal alien drug smuggler in the line of duty. The drug dealer received only minor injuries and was given full immunity from prosecution by the federal prosecutor in return for his testimony against the agents.

They were convicted and sentenced under a law requiring a minimum 10-year sentence for the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime – a law the Congress never intended to apply to law enforcement officers. They have already served nearly two years in prison – mostly solitary confinement.

"Personally, I want to see these two men home for Christmas," said Farah. "Enough is enough. Their convictions and sentences were miscarriages of justice. President Bush has one last chance to demonstrate he really has a 'compassionate conservative' heart beating inside his chest. This is the test."

Farah said he does not believe Bush will act without massive pressure from the American people.

"I hope millions of Americans will join me in this plea right now," he said. "I know of no better way than to sign this petition, which I pledge to use to get the attention of the White House."

Sign the petition to free imprisoned Border Patrol agents now.

Postponing Reality

Courtesy of Thomas Sowell

Some of us were raised to believe that reality is inescapable. But that just shows how far behind the times we are. Today, reality is optional. At the very least, it can be postponed.

Kids in school are not learning? Not a problem. Just promote them on to the next grade anyway. Call it "compassion," so as not to hurt their "self-esteem."

Can't meet college admissions standards after they graduate from high school? Denounce those standards as just arbitrary barriers to favor the privileged, and demand that exceptions be made.

Can't do math or science after they are in college? Denounce those courses for their rigidity and insensitivity, and create softer courses that the students can pass to get their degrees.

Once they are out in the real world, people with diplomas and degrees-- but with no real education-- can hit a wall. But by then the day of reckoning has been postponed for 15 or more years. Of course, the reckoning itself can last the rest of their lives.

Alan Colmes to Depart Top Rated Hannity & Colmes

Courtesy of Breitbart and Fox News: Alan Colmes to Depart Top Rated Hannity & Colmes

FOX News Channel’s (FNC) Alan Colmes will relinquish his role as co-host of Hannity & Colmes at the end of the year.

In announcing his decision, Colmes said, “I approached Bill Shine (FNC’s Senior Vice President of Programming) earlier this year about wanting to move on after 12 years to develop new and challenging ways to contribute to the growth of the network. Although it’s bittersweet to leave one of the longest marriages on cable news, I’m proud that both Sean (Hannity) and I remained unharmed after sitting side by side, night after night for so many years.”

Colmes will continue to have a presence on FNC as he will serve as a liberal commentator on a variety of FOX News programming, including Foxnews.com’s The Strategy Room and continue hosting his radio program, The Alan Colmes Show on FOX Talk, a division of FOX News Radio. He will also begin developing a weekend program.

He was a very good fit with Sean. They have done such a great job FOR 12 YEARS. Man, how time flies....... Alan will be missed......

Can the Muslims and Jews Bridge the Muslim-Jewish divide

Inshallah khayr (All will be well, Allah willing).

Courtesy of Jerusalem Post: Bridging the Muslim-Jewish divide

This weekend, 50 synagogues and 50 mosques in the US and Canada will hold simultaneous prayer sessions.

Both American Jews and Muslims are children of Abraham and citizens of the same country, and we share a common faith and destiny," he said. "Of course, we cannot ignore the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it's the elephant in the room, but I see the emergence of moderate, centrist Muslim voices, particularly in the United States, and we must do everything possible to encourage such voices."

Israel and the Jewish People have made so many concessions in the past in regards to the peace process and have tried to heal the feelings between the House of Issac and the House of Ishmael ( إسماعيل ).

Perhaps the brothers can resolve their conflict and worship allah, the father of Abraham, together.

It is the contention of the Muhammadans that the Hebrew people must realize that Ishmael ( إسماعيل ) is the first born son of Abraham and has the birthright to the land in the Middle East.

We should discuss the night journey of Muhammad as depicted in Surah 17. Surah 17 indicates that Muhammad supernaturally visited a mosque in Jerusalem in his time on a night journey from Mecca. Was there really a Muslim mosque on the temple Mount in Jerusalem?

According to Surah 17, the Muhammadans show proof that they have claim to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem.

Yusuf ‘Ali’s footnote 2168. "The Farthest Mosque must refer to the site of the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem on the hill of Moriah, at or near which stands the Dome of the Rock, called also the Mosque of Hadhrat ‘Umar. This and the Mosque known as the Farthest Mosque (Masjid-ul-Aqsa) were completed by the Amir ‘Abd-ul-Malik in A.H. 68. … and completely razed to the ground by the Emperor Titus in A.D. 70." Farooq-i-Azam Malik’s translation of Sura 17:1. "Glory be to Him Who took His devotee (Muhammed) one night from Masjid-al-Haram (in Makkah) to Masjid-al-Aqsa (in Jerusalem), whose vicinity We have blessed, so that We may show him some of Our signs; surely He is the One Who is the Hearer, the Observer." Many times in the English translations of the hadiths say "Jerusalem" when the Arabic is al-Aqsa, meaning "the farthest mosque".

I do not believe that Israel or the Hebrew people will be able to make any concessions other than to cede the State of Israel back to Muhammad and convert to the true and restored religion of Islamic allah.

What say you?

Pornography - Quitting the habit

Courtesy of Charlie Butts - OneNewsNow - 11/22/2008 4:10:00 AM

13 ways to ruin your lifeThe damage from pornography addiction runs deep, but one author has found freedom through Christ.

Author and speaker Jarrod Jones has written a book called 13 Ways to Ruin Your Life. In his travels, he has been amazed at the number of Christians who admit to having a problem with pornography.

"Messages have bombarded them, as well the temptations of sexual sin have come upon them so powerfully," he notes. "Through the testimonies they share with me, I have been shocked at how many have felt the openness to share with me their struggle with pornography -- I'm talking from ministers to married men, businessmen, men in ministry, young men."
Jarrod Jones
Jones personally struggled through the damaging effects of pornography addiction and the subsequent loss of a relationship. He calls the Bible a starting place and the central focus of recovery. "Proverbs 7, which deals with watching a young man falling into sexual sin and what it's going to cost him, and it's going to ruin his life," he explains.

13 Ways is not a tell-all book, but Jones uses his personal experiences to illustrate how Christ can change a person. "With those battles in my life and those experiences, I discovered that...Jesus began changing [those desires] because of his Spirit within me," he adds. "My desires were to be more about him, and with my mind, with my eyes, with my ears, with my body, and to pursue him in that way."

Pornography, according to Jones, is no easy addiction to shake, but he says Christ can break the chains of sin. His book can be purchased at 13WaystoRuinYourLife.com, or it can be downloaded for free.

Its official, we are screwed (by 2025)

The late great America. Sounds like we have screwed our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren future. When I listen to Barnett "Barney" Frank, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi open their mouths, I want to puke.

When I listen to liberals and leftists open their yaps, I want to puke.

Here it is folks, read and think about it. We are not our childrens' fathers and our wives' protectors. G_d help America........

The real source of the problem, we have been eating to much soy. You see men are no longer men and we are not the protectors of our family. I am not sure how or why there has been a disconnect in being a real man. We have become politically correct metro males. I use "we" collectively and not individually.

Report: U.S. Dominance to Fade

Alarming government report predicts the threat of a nuclear war and the decline of America as a global power by 2025

The next two decades will see a world living with the daily threat of nuclear war, environmental catastrophe and the decline of America as the dominant global power, according to a frighteningly bleak assessment by the U.S. intelligence community.

"The world of the near future will be subject to an increased likelihood of conflict over resources, including food and water, and will be haunted by the persistence of rogue states and terrorist groups with greater access to nuclear weapons," said the report by the National Intelligence Council.

The analysts said that the report had been prepared in time for Barack Obama's entry into the Oval office on January 20, where he will be faced with some of the greatest challenges of any newly-elected president.

"The likelihood that nuclear weapons will be used will increase with expanded access to technology and a widening range of options for limited strikes," the 121-page assessment said.

Click here to read the report in full

The analysts draw attention to an already escalating nuclear arms race in the Middle East and anticipate that a growing number of rogue states will be prepared to share their destructive technology with terror groups.

"Over the next 15-20 years reactions to the decisions Iran makes about its nuclear program could cause a number of regional states to intensify these efforts and consider actively pursuing nuclear weapons," the report Global Trends 2025 said. "This will add a new and more dangerous dimension to what is likely to be increasing competition for influence within the region," it said.

I am blaming at least 70 years of liberalism. From probably the 1950s when us baby boomers started kicking up, that it when America started shutting down. Look how ****ing foolish we were in the 1960s. We became a schizophrenic society.

You liberals are maybe a little soft on yourselves. This is too deep for you. Don't worry Uncle Barry has some kool-aid in the frig, Libbie.

Newspaper claims Obama belonged to socialist party

Has evidence emerged that Sen. Barack Obama belonged to a socialist political party that sought to elect members to public office with the aim of moving the Democratic Party far leftward to ultimately form a new political party with a socialist agenda?

Obama's campaign had earlier denied the presidential candidate was ever a member of the New Party.

WMD claims that past copies of the New Party News, the party's official newspaper, have been found and they show Obama posing with New Party leaders, list him as a New Party member and include quotes from him.

Another Democrat uses the Race Card

Courtesy of Teddy Davis, ABC News

Florida Congressman: Palin 'Don't Care Too Much What They Do With Jews and Blacks'

ABC News' Teddy Davis Reports: Florida Democratic Congressman Alcee Hastings pointed to Sarah Palin on Wednesday to rally Jews to Obama...."If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention," said Hastings. "Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through."....Asked about the Hastings criticism, Palin spokeswoman Maria Comella said, "We’re taking a pass."

Bout the only ones I know that are making an issue about Obama's ethnicity is Obama and his party hacks....America has cleaned up it's act regarding racism and I am offended by this Democratic Congressman Alcee Hastings' behavior and tongue. Obama spoke about not looking like the other presidents on our currency and now this racist remark..... If a republican had done it, G_d help us..... The democrats certainly abused Clarence Thomas. It is OK if it is a democrat.. Such double standards!

Edwards channeling his love child

According to Ann Coulter:

"It would appear that ambulances aren't the only things John Edwards has been chasing lately," states Ann Coulter in her brand new column at WorldNetDaily.

Coulter this week writes about the reporters who cornered the former presidential candidate in a Beverly Hills hotel, reportedly visiting his mistress and "love child."

Writes Coulter: "According to the Enquirer, Edwards entered Rielle Hunter's hotel room around 9:45 p.m. and left at 2:40 in the morning. Seeing reporters as he left Hunter's room, Edwards sprinted to a hotel bathroom and blockaded himself in until hotel security came to rescue him. Even more suspicious, while Edwards was barricaded in the bathroom, no one reported hearing sounds of a blow dryer. ...

"If only Republican Larry Craig had been in the bathroom, the MSM might have covered it."

Read Coulter's entire column now at WorldNetDaily.com: Ann Coulter: Edwards and the media

Most of the mainstream media has ignored the alleged story regarding Edwards. Could this really be sensationalism?Edward's wife has cancer and he has small children. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who has been hurt by the Enquirer story.

Edwards is currently not a presidential contender. I seem to recall that John F. Kennedy’s affairs were not given much press coverage at the time that they allegedly occurred. I was wondering of the media should leave Edwards alone or crank up the heat? After all we do not know if the story is true, do we?

Peace or submission

I just received this email from a good friend over at Islam in Action regarding Islam.

Bosun,

As I surf the net I see many Christians standing up for the ideology of Islam. Most of them have not done any research on Islam. They have been told by Muslims, that Islam is a religion of peace.

One has to ponder this, if it were true, why are Christians and Jews being persecuted across the Islamic world? It appears to me that we need to examine radicalized Islam to see the apparent dangers in countries dominated by or becoming dominated.

There appears an eventual metamorphosis destroying other religions. Examine the current happenings in the UK, here and here

Monotheist and Polytheist religions need to examine their fate and that of their families future generations. Atheists and others may not escape the wrath.

In just a two day period let us look at what has happened to Christians stuck under Islamic rule.

Somalia 7/28/08 A Christian convert was shot to death with a AK-47 by two Muslim men. The reason....all because he would not face Mecca when praying. When his wife heard the news of her husbands murder she went into premature labour and gave birth to a stillborn baby. The Somali constitution discourages the promotion and propagation of any religion other than Islam.......

Jakarta Indonesia 7/28/08 A Protestant school in Jakarta was stormed by a mob of Muslims injuring 265 students. Many with head injuries and others burnt by Molotov cocktails.....

Iran 7/29/08 16 Christian converts were arrested and some beaten. The crime was converting to Christianity......

Funny how Muslims always tell us that Islam is a religion of tolerance, but the actions of some Muslims always show the opposite. A bill has gone to Iranian Parliament there calling for the death penalty of anyone who leaves Islam. (Similar to Saudi Arabia regarding Apostasy). Such is freedom.

True, individually these are isolated incidents, but, if one overlays all the violent incidents involving religions living under Islamic rule (or raising Islamic rule) one must ponder: Is Islam a religion of peace? A religion of dominance? A religion of submission? A religion of tolerance? A religion that will allow other monotheistic, polytheistic, atheists, and agnostics to co-exist peacefully under its rule?

Jihadi Express: Subway Ads in NYC

Unbelievable...Muslim subway ads have terror tie-in, Courtesy of NY Post

Allah board!

An Islamic group plans to blitz 1,000 subway cars with advertisements this September in a campaign being promoted by a Brooklyn imam whom federal officials have linked to a plot to blow up city landmarks.

The group says its mission is to explain the true nature of Islam to non-Muslims who believe the religion is bent on acts of violence - but, an inflammatory imam who appears in a promotional YouTube video for the project, has defended convicted bomb-plotters and called the FBI and CIA the "real terrorists." LINK

It is so important to stop this madness....

If the politically correct apologists and appeasers and their islamic puppet master friends get their way with this, it will be a big breakthrough for them, and a big loss for us and for freedom and sanity. The politically correct apologists and appeasers and their Islamic puppet masters will have established credibility as a religion, when they need to be redefined as a hostile foreign entity - something that American laws do not permit us to give way to.

The more they win battles for Political Correctness, the harder they will be to push back. Here are ways you can take action against this outrage. Support Congressman Pete King's move to stop it.

Email Congressman King at pete.king@mail.house.gov. Or call him at 202 225 7896 in Washington DC, or 516 541 4225 in Massapequa Park, or 631 541 4225 in Suffolk County.

You don't have to be a constituent to say you support his actions.

Email NY Post reporter Jeremy Olshan, who broke this story and tell him you want more like this: jeremy.olshan@nypost.com.

Call Governor Patterson: 518 474 8390.  Do it now and say you want a subway free of terror and free of lying propaganda.

Religion of Peace targets Olympics

Islamist bombers target Olympics

Courtesy of Times Online

A MILITANT Islamic group has threatened to attack the Beijing Olympics with suicide bombers and  biological weapons and has claimed responsibility for a string of fatal bombings and explosions in China over recent weeks.

In a video released by IntelCenter, a terrorism monitoring group, a bearded man identified as “Commander Seyfullah” is seen reading a declaration of jihad against the Olympics and warns athletes and spectators, “especially Muslims”, to stay away. link to the article:  Islamists

It appears that the teachings of Mohammed is deviant.  That idiot, Commander Seyfullah, will create even more hardships for the Ulghur people of Xinjiang Province through his twisted interpretations of the teachings of the moon-worshiping caravan raider, Mohammed.

The world has been at war with itself throughout history, sometimes, errant religious ideology has played a factor and sometimes has not.  The real source of war is the blind ambitions of those who want to dominate others, more recently Saddam Hussein's thirst for power and Osama Bin Laden's fatwa against the west.

Mohammed's followers have used the Olympic backdrop in the past when Black September terrorists took Israeli athletes hostage and killed eleven.  We are entering a new front in the war on terror.  Pray for the Chinese government that their security catches the homicidal jihadists who may try to disrupt the games.  Pray for the athletes and those who attend the games.

Honour Killing in America

One of the ongoing stories that this blog has followed has been that of the murder of Sarah and Amina Said by their father, Yaser Said.  Said allegedly shot his daughters on New Year’s Day in his taxicab in what has been described by some as an “honor killing.”

Many Muslim’s have resented that description in this case, but this is not an isolated incident in the United States.

A special will air this weekend that will examine not only the case of the Said sisters, but others as well.

ABCABC takes McCain behind the woodpile, sends Obama to the head of the class

Courtesy of  Newsboys.org - Brent Baker

Matching CBS on Tuesday night, on Wednesday evening ABC's World News followed its exclusive Barack Obama session of the day with a shorter interview segment with John McCain as anchor Charles Gibson teased: "Barack Obama, here in Israel, holding meetings at breakneck speed on the Middle East conflict." Obama got a full five minutes with anchor Charles Gibson in Israel, not counting a glowing minute-long introduction -- Obama's "schedule here in Israel looked like a Middle East shuttle mission" -- while ABC allocated two-and-a-half minutes to David Wright with McCain. Gibson did press Obama on his foreign policy "inexperience" and Obama's declaration that "Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel," wondering if that was "a rookie mistake?" Wright began by scolding McCain for his "extraordinary statement" that "Obama would rather lose a war in order to win a political campaign." Wright demanded: "Do you really think he's that craven?" Bizarrely, as if the media's decisions are not primarily responsible, Wright told McCain the fact that "the narrative of this campaign is being driven by whatever Senator Obama does" shows a McCain campaign failure.  For the rest of the article:  ABC Scolds McCain & Admits Obama Driving the Campaign 'Narrative'

A Chink in the Messiah's Armour? Are we getting the truth from Lamestream Media?

Courtesy of Matt Drudge:

OBAMA VISITS WESTERN WALL IN OLD CITY JERUSALEM... ARRIVES AT 5:08 AM LOCAL TIME [10:08 PM ET]... SUNRISE... SHOUTING MAN: 'JERUSALEM IS NOT FOR SALE, OBAMA'... MOB SCENE... CHAOS... BOWING HIS HEAD IN PRAYER... PLACES NOTE IN WALL... POSES FOR PHOTOS... LOTS OF SHOUTING... LEAVES 5:20 AM... DEVELOPING.......

However the AP file story at Breitbart did not mention any shouting, mob, or chaos.  I am not sure what is going on or if Matt Drudge has it right.   However with the rock star personal and the lame stream media wiping Obama's arse, I have to wonder if perhaps Matt Drudge hit the nail on the head, as usual?  I imagine that after the coronation of Barack Hussein Obama following the November elections, the coming fairness doctrine will quiet any dissent.  News stories will get a good scrubbing and I doubt that speculative or unfavorable stories will get out.  G_d help us from the Obamanation.

Cold war escalate; Russia plans to send nuclear capable bombers to Cuba.

US general warns Russia on nuclear bombers in Cuba

It appears that the cold war is escalating with Russia as of late.  In June 2008, the Washington Times reported that Russian TU-95 bombers have stepped up provocative flight exercises off the Alaskan coast, reminiscent of Cold War incursions designed to rattle U.S. air defenses.  Apparently, TU-95 Bear bombers on 18 occasions the past year have skirted a 12-mile air defense identification zone that protects Alaska.

We are seeing with more frequency Russian warplane overfights on US Navy warships operating in international waters.  Russia signed an agreement to sell advanced weapons systems to Chavez' Marxist government in Venezuela.  Now according the AP, Russia announced plans to fly bombers into Cuba.   A top US Air Force officer warned that Russia would cross "a red line for the United States of America" if it were to base nuclear capable bombers in Cuba.

There appears to be storm clouds on the horizon.  See article > Link

Media Bias, Pt, II: NYT Rejects McCain Rebuttal

The NY Times has rejected an op-ed by John McCain, countering the piece they ran last week by Barack Obama. Drudge quotes NYT Op-Ed editor David Shipley: "It would be terrific to have an article from Senator McCain that mirrors Senator Obama's piece. To that end, the article would have to articulate, in concrete terms, how Senator McCain defines victory in Iraq." I have a question: how does Obama define "ending" the war in Iraq, in his op-ed piece? Read both pieces here, since the NYT won't publish both candidate's opinions.

Media Bias? Obama in Iraq

I'm wondering if the excessive coverage of Obama's Middle East trip will be helpful, or hurt him. Still, it's certain that he will get much more coverage than McCain got when he last went to Iraq. Even the International Herald-Tribune, owned by the NY Times, has a story about it. McCain wasn't the nominee yet, so this isn't really comparable. Still, if McCain goes to Iraq again before the elections, I doubt that all three network anchors will try to interview him there. They'd be more likely to label it as "using the military for political purposes," and give him minimal coverage. Why does no one say that about Obama?

Controversy about the Islamic Saudi Academy's teaching materials; founded or unfounded?

According to Town Hall contributor, Cal Thomas, there continues to be a School for Scoundrels. Is there anyone here in the forum close to Fairfax County that could check out this story and checking into the validity that they are still using hate books?

Despite a report by the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom that the Islamic Saudi Academy in Alexandria, VA., has continued to use textbooks that teach hatred of everyone not of their specific brand of faith, the U.S. State Department has yet to act to close down the school. Officials of the academy, which has about 1,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12, promised to excise passages in the textbooks that disparage Jews and Christians, but according to an examination by The Washington Post for the 2006-2007 school year, though "much of the controversial material had been removed, at least one book still contained passages that extolled jihad and martyrdom, called for victory over one's enemies and said the killing of adulterers and apostates was 'justified.'"

For the rest of the article: School for Scoundrels

I  have not heard much about this since, however, a search of news turned up this little gem, courtesy of AP, Washington Post, and WTOPS News:

FAIRFAX, VA. - Fairfax County supervisors are asking Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to determine whether they should continue leasing property to a private Islamic school.
....
One review by a federal commission concluded that some textbooks used by the school contain language intolerant of Jews and other groups as well as passages that could be construed as advocating violence.
Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerry Connolly ..... (WROTE) that the county doesn't employ the linguists and scholars needed to determine whether the Fairfax academy's teaching materials promote violence or intolerance.

A review of the  Saudi Academy Website,

Since its establishment, the Islamic Saudi Academy has viewed its relationship with the community and culture as vital to the mission of the school. ISA not only promotes respect and mutual understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims, Arabs and Americans while keeping within the Muslim faith, it strives for its staff and students to uphold tolerance, honesty, integrity and compassion, qualities that represent the best of both American and Arabic cultures.

The apparent controversy regarding the Saudi Academy may be a misunderstanding, poor translation of what was in the textbook(s), and/or al-Taqiyya.

I sure wish I knew what is going on.......

Don't worry folks apparently the book(s) in question only attacked what al- Qur'an القرآن ‎terms "people of the book" (Jews and Christians) and other non-believers. It does not reference politically correct liberal apologists (not yet anyway).

State Department promotes 'Mosques in America'

Apparently our political correctness is going to bury America.   According the WND, "Using taxpayer dollars, the State Department has produced and is selling a 2009 calendar featuring "Mosques of America."

When the blogosphere discovered the "outreach" materials for sale, the State Department attempted to hide the site behind a password. Too late -- WND has it.

The New Yorker Cartoon, another con job

My friends over at Stop the ACLU have have been discussing the New Yorker cover picture depicting Presidential contender Barack Hussein Obama, Jr, in a turban, fist-bumping his gun-slinging wife. An American flag burns in their fireplace here and here.

Of course, the New Yorker says it’s satire. The left says it is evil, racist, and a low  blow smear campaign.  The right is having a good chuckle and probably will have a good time with the pix.

According to Politico, The Obama campaign is condemning as “tasteless and offensive” a New Yorker magazine cover.  The Obama campaign quickly condemned the rendering. Spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement: “The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama’s right-wing critics have tried to create. But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree.”

The way I see it, this may be well orchestrated plan to place their Messiah completely into victim status.

The Jesse Jackson gaff that was leaked after a FoxNews show was directed at white liberals to facilitate them to see that Obamination in a down trodden colored liberal who they (the white liberals) can flock around in guilt to support. Lets face it about 80 - 90% of Black America will vote for Obamination regardless of what Jackson says or doesn’t say.

The continued notion that Obamination is a victim has been running the leftist circuit for months.  Heck, Bill and Hillary Clinton openly victimized Obama and took the focus off the Messiah of the leftist party.  They wittingly or unwittingly contributed to his success.

Well, the New Yorker is now painting Obamination as a victim. There has been so much speculation about radical and islamic ties throughout the whole campaign process so far. I suspect this is designed to rally the Left and Liberal base and help distract them from Obomination's counter gaffs.

Jonathan Raban in the British paper Guardian Unlimited has a good piece about American Politics How US politics got personal

US voters don’t want to hear about Iraq, terrorism and the fallout from 9/11. Instead, they want to talk about identity - race, religion and the glass ceiling. But how long can this holiday last?

Yes, the Sorros dominated left Obama for President machine is really good.  They are working overtime  facilitating fresh ideas, AND, duping and running circles around the American public.  What we have is a junior senator with almost no experience other than being a community activist associated with ACORN and an black nationalist church running for President of the United States, the highest office of the land.  My liberal friends are falling all over themselves in supporting Mr. Change.   Folks we are being manipulated and conned.   The cartoon is another way to keep the real issues off balance.

Russian bombers step up provocative flights - 18 incursions in past year

Russian bombers have stepped up provocative flight exercises off the Alaskan coast, reminiscent of Cold War incursions designed to rattle U.S. air defenses. U.S. Northern Command, which protects North American airspace, told The Washington Times that TU-95 Bear bombers on 18 occasions the past year have skirted a 12-mile air defense identification zone that protects Alaska.

The incursions prompted F-15s and F-22 Raptor fighters to scramble from Elmendorf Air Force Base and intercept the warplanes.

The last incident happened in May. Moscow's sophisticated show of force has some in the Pentagon paying more attention to the long-term goals of a Russian military, which is being rebuilt with proceeds from the country's huge oil and gas revenues. NORAD is more sensitive than ever to wayward aircraft, given the Sept. 11 attacks by hijackers and the lack of military coordination at the time to track, and perhaps destroy, the planes.

Mr. McInerney said the incursions are the most sophisticated since the Cold War. The retired general called the exercises "coordinated attacks coming into our air defense identification zone. These incursions are far more sophisticated than anything we had seen before." He said the Russian army air force is launching Bear bombers from Tiksi on the Arctic Ocean and Anadyr in Siberia. They are flying against the air defense identification zone from both the polar caps and from the south.

The Air Force statement said it has "monitored Russian aircraft taking off from a variety of air bases across their country." ............. read more

Ethnic hostility on the rise in Brussels

Courtesy of Islam In Action: Ethnic War in Brussels: Moroccans Attack "Whites"

This is reverse hostility and a very interesting phenomena that also occurs in the UK and France with "no go" areas:.

Just yesterday Islam in Action reported the rape of a non-Muslim girl  in Brussels, for not wearing a headscarf.   Today, Islam in Action reported that there is more Islamic hostility brewing in Brussels.

A group of Moroccan youths rioted and attacked a group of white supporters of the football club RSC Anderlecht. The evening before the attack, a blog had called for attacks on the "white" supporters of the club, and "to burn pubs, houses and cars."  It seems that radical Mohammedans are once again causing problems with host country Kafirs.

Perhaps we should toward Europe to see if what is happening there may be coming our way.  There were the Islamic French riots of 2005 which spread to at least 30 towns and cities, once again in 2007, the Islamic Denmark riots which spread to at least 20 towns and were little reported by the media and now this. It is fair to say that a plague appears to be slowly spreading across Europe.

My questions are:

  • Can it happen here in America?
  • Will we learn from European mistakes?
  • Who is responsible for the violence?

Do you have any answers?

Brussels girl raped for not wearing a veil

Courtesy of Islam In Action:

The Islamic rape epidemic in Europe continues. As a young woman of 21 years of age was attacked and raped at a train station in Brussels. She was told they were doing this because she was not wearing a veil (it was her fault).
Once again radical Mohammedans show us that they are not in our countries to assimilate. Radical Mohammedans are here to force their religion and culture on us. All great monotheistic and polytheists religions (except for Islam) have gone through reformation and enlightenment to weed out man made roadblocks.
Can some one please tell me:

  • Why we continue to allow some of the more radical fundamentalists Mohammedans into our non-Islamic countries?
  • How can we screen out the problems?
  • When will we learn how to screen them out?
  • When are the moderate Mohammedans going to say enough is enough and excommunicate those who are bringing discredit to their "peaceful" religion?
  • When will Islam go through reformation and enlightenment?

Justice Kennedy Screws the Children

Posted by Big Dog in General

Ronald Reagan’s second mistake, Justice Anthony Kennedy (the first was Sandra Day O’Connor), put the screws to children who are victims of rape. Kennedy, who is the swing vote in many close decisions, decided that the crime of raping a child is not worthy of the death penalty thereby ensuring that those who rape children will live their lives cared for in jails at taxpayer expense (and possibly be released) while the victims will live their lives with emotional and psychological damage.

To Kennedy and the other liberals on the court (he might as well be one, he acts like it) there are no crimes that warrant the death penalty except murder and many of them oppose it in that case as well. To them, raping a child is something that should be punished with jail time which means anything short of life without parole would allow the offender to gain freedom and rape again. Justice Alito wrote the dissenting opinion. Here is part of it and it makes the most sense:

“The Court today holds that the Eighth Amendment categorically prohibits the imposition of the death penalty for the crime of raping a child. This is so, according to the Court, no matter how young the child, no matter how many times the child is raped, no matter how many children the perpetrator rapes, no matter how sadistic the crime, no matter how much physical or psychological trauma is inflicted, and no matter how heinous the perpetrator’s prior criminal record may be. The Court provides two reasons for this sweeping conclusion: First, the Court claims to have identified “a national consensus” that the death penalty is never acceptable for the rape of a child;second, the Court concludes, based on its “independent judgment,” that imposing the death penalty for child rape is inconsistent with “‘the evolving standards of decency that mark the progress of a maturing society.’” Ante, at 8, 15, 16 (citation omitted). Because neither of these justifications is sound, I respectfully dissent.”

If a person who rapes a child is released and rapes again I assume that the flawed opinion of Kennedy and the others will be little consolation to the victim and his parents. I think if a person who rapes a child (in a state that had the death penalty for the offense) is released and rapes another child, the members of the court who allowed it should be hanged in front of the Supreme Court building. The idea is for laws to protect the public and this ruling does nothing to accomplish that. If it were my child they might not make it to the hanging.

While I am disgusted with the ruling in this case I actually have no feeling one way or the other about putting a criminal to death for raping a child because that can be accomplished anywhere regardless of what the court says. When the animal is sent to jail put him in the general population and let them know what he is in for. He will be killed in jail and the problem will be solved and with no appeals.

I cannot imagine what children must go through after they are raped and it is just as hard on the families. It makes it even harder when the courts rule that the criminal somehow has more rights than the victim. The criminal must be afforded a stretch of the VIIIth Amendment to stay alive while a child, who was subjected to cruel and unusual punishment at the hands of the attacker, must go through life bearing the scars. If some person who raped a child were released I would not blame any victim’s father who decided to remove the trash from this Earth. If I were on that jury he would walk away a free man.

Kennedy and the others are worried about cruel and unusual punishment. The death penalty is too good for these scumbags. They should be hanged, drawn and quartered (the criminals, not the justices, though that might not be a bad idea).

America, these justices are no where as liberal as those Barack Obama will appoint if he becomes president. There will likely be a few openings in the next president’s term. It is important that those positions are filled with justices who will not use public sentiment and personal feelings when interpreting the Constitution. We need more like those who were in the minority on this vote.

Be careful how you vote. Your vote has many more consequences than just putting someone in office.
