News and Commentary, Take Back the Memorial

There is an effort by the International Freedom Center to open a museum in a place where the NYC WTC used to stand. On it's face, this is a good thing. It is always in the details where we find the yuck!

There is an organization of concerned citizens, including several of the people who lost loved ones that horrific day, whom have come together to protect what they consider is sacred land.

It is. It is as Pearl Harbor. Many people may not even know where it is, but just the mention of it brings a sombering effect that envelopes the room. We now say, "Thank you," to all those who sacrificed. Would we make a museum there about Japanese interm camps? Would we tolerate a museum of Japanese Generals who tortured our young men? NO!

This is what is happing at the NYC Ground Zero Museum. They would like to include everything that America has done wrong in her younth, and exihibit it for the world to see. Is there anything wrong with the truth? NO. Is it appropriate to put it in the middle of Ground Zero? NO. That would be saying, "This is why this happened." This is a lie.

It happened because there are some people who want us all dead, and the sooner you come to terms with that fact, the sooner we will be free to do what must be done. Just because there has not been another attack since that cruel day, do not relax your minds. It is coming. Those who are prepared may not even survive. I fear for those who are not.

Victims, family members, and Americans across the country have launched two new initiatives to try to save the dignity of those who are no longer with us. It is entitled, "Campaign America." It is an effort to allow concerned citizens across America to express their support for "Take Back the Memorial."

They are asking people who believe the memorial should honor those who died that day to download the Campaign America Resolution. You may present this to your city council, state officials, and even your US Congresspeople and Senators for consideration. It is better to start right in your own community, however.

All Municipalities which pass this resolution shall be listed in the Campaign America Honor Roll. The more municipalities that pass this resolution shall send a loud message stating that this is America's Memorial. It has affected us all, and we do not want to be slapped in the face, because some group believes it is our fault this happened.

The current petition for having the dignity of those lost hss already garnished 36,000 signatures, including 1900 from family and relatives of victims. They are seeking 1,000,000 signatures. You may download the petition kit here. It is an Adobe file, and you will open "Download Complete Kit Zip File." You will find everything there you will need.

Below is a list of Coalition of Family Member Organizations:

I cannot verify all of these programs, so please verify them yourselves before becoming involved. I do believe it is a worthwhile cause. That is my commentary. Also, when I said "we" and "us." I guess if you are an American and want to write journalistically, you cannot support your country. My comment on that---go to hell. I love America!

Update:Michelle Malkin has also written extensively about this topic. She is a very fine journalist with a flare for truth...no matter where it takes her.
