Somalia: an update

After hearing Captain Dale Dye talk about the fighting going on in Somalia, my fears have been confirmed. It has now escalated into a war between the nuts and the Ethopians. (Nuts being a word used by Gen. Patten in WWII. Take it up with him.)
Ethiopia 'is at war'
24/12/2006 21:21 - (SA)

Addis Ababa - Ethiopia is at war with the Islamists in neighbouring Somalia who want to rule according to the Qur'an, Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said on Sunday.

"Our defene force has been forced to enter a war to defend (against) the attacks from extremists and anti-Ethiopian forces and to protect the sovereignty of the land," Meles said in a television address.

This came just after his country had launched fighter jets and artillery against Islamic militants.

Ethiopia backs Somalia's fragile government, which has been losing ground to the Islamists for months.
Reuters, Yahoo News, Little Green Footballs and the Boston Globe also have covered this war...finally.

You may read the article about this war I wrote on the 19th of December if you so choose. Douglas Farah has been paying even closer attention to this situation. He has written another article entitled, "The Somali War Spills Over," December 22, 2006. He writes with others at CounterTerrorismBlog. It is a very fine source of news and analysis. Have a good day.

The entire peninsula of Ethiopia/Eritrea there stinks, even when we're miles out to sea from it.

That's awful! Do they need a sewer system? Those two countries that you named do get along at all. As a matter of fact, there is talk that Eritria is fighting against Ethiopia on the side of the islamists. What a freakin' mess, and the dems won't do a darn about it. They just don't get it. This is the third front...

Yes, well this has come to be expected. That is why I added my commentary! I've been following longer than the press has, and I've never left America!

PS. Sorry about typing so fast that I forget a word here and there, such as "Those two countries that you mentioned do NOT...". lol. I have to stop doing that. It really is becoming a pain in the rear. :)
