Upcoming Supreme Court Cases
Trackbacked at Choose Life:
● Supreme Court Case #04-1144, Ayotte v. Planned Parenthood of Northern New England. In this case through our major brief, American Center for Law and Justice will be fighting for the rights of parents to be notified when their minor child seeks an abortion. A school nurse cannot give an aspirin to a child without parental permission ... but when it comes to abortion, the parent isn't informed! The Supreme Court will hear this case on November 30.
● Partial-birth abortion, Case #05-380, Gonzales v. Carhart. The ACLJ is asking the Supreme Court in a major brief to uphold the constitutionality of the federal ban on partial-birth abortion by reversing the appeals court's decision. Our groundbreaking strategy is to argue for the "personhood" of the child being born.

The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) is committed to insuring the ongoing viability of constitutional freedoms. By specializing in constitutional law, the ACLJ is dedicated to the concept that freedom and democracy are God-given inalienable rights that must be protected. As a non-profit organization, the ACLJ does not charge for its services and is dependent upon God and the resources He provides through the time, talent, and gifts of people who share our concerns and desire to protect our religious and constitutional freedoms. - Not a bad organization to be associated with, huh?
