Bilbray Wins!

In a long and drawn out fight to keep the Republican seat in Congress in the hands of the Republicans, Brian Bilbray has come on top. It may be due to a statement one of his opponents was caught saying to a group of illegal aliens during the campaign. She told them, "You don't need papers to vote. You don't need papers to help me."

"Papers", as we in California know, is a code word for being here legally. But is being here legally enough to give someone the right to vote? NO. You MUST be a citizen.

Still, it was a close race. Duke Cunningham (R) is serving 8 years in prison for taking bribes, while Cynthia McKinney's (D) case is still being decided whether the police are going to press charges. What did she do? She hit a police officer in the line of duty.

Mr. Kennedy (D) is now out of rehab after being stopped by the Capitol Police while allegedy driving under the influence. Mr. Williams (D) will not face any charges yet, although they found $90,000 in his freezer. The Congress is more worried about the FBI searching their offices than they are justice. Shame on all of them.

The attempt of the Demoncrats to tar and feather the Republicans as the party of corruption has failed. If there is corruption, I will be one of the first to publish and condemn it, but let us at least be fair. The Democrats are no sweathearts either.
